Notes on the YCA Grading List

The printed list is a copy of the list published on the internet on 1st July 2017.† It is published here for the convenience of those without internet. †This printed list is already out of date, and it will become more inaccurate as the year progresses. †Organisers using grades for eligibility are advised to declare that they will use the latest monthly online list. †Organisers who rely on an annual list are, in effect, keeping their heads in the sand!

After 16 years as your Yorkshire Grader, the inevitable time has come when I must prepare to retire.† To reduce my workload I would like to find volunteers to take on some of the data entry duties. †In particular, I am asking the organisers of congresses and other events if they can help by typing their own results into chessnuts, just as league reporters do at present. †Further ahead, is there anyone out there with an interest in coding who would consider sharing the maintenance of the chessnuts system, as a step towards taking over as Yorkshire Grader? †Please get in touch.
