YCA AGM 2019

The date and venue for the YCA AGM have been set as

Saturday 22nd June

at the Lindley Liberal Club, Huddersfield

(Huddersfield's match venue)

Refreshments are to be provided.

There are expected to be some moderately contentious rule-change proposals, such as the introduction of a time limit incorporating an increment.† How flexible any proposal might be as to catering for clubs without the necessary digital clocks has yet to be seen.

Anyone planning to make any rule-change proposals should note the need to submit then to the Hon. Sec. (Noel Stewart) by the 30th of April 2019 with a stated seconder.† The relevant item in the Constitution reads as follows.

12  No alteration or amendment shall be made to this Constitution or the YCA League Rules save at an A.G.M and only then provided:

a) that notice has been given in writing to the Hon. Secretary not later than April 30th preceding the AGM and

b) each proposal is seconded by another person;

c) that not less than two thirds of those present and voting are in favour of the alteration for a constitutional amendment, or a simple majority of those present and voting for changes to the YCA League Rules.
