York Junior Chess Day 2019

 

This annual chess event was held on Saturday 28th September 2019 at Archbishop Junior School, Bishopthorpe, York.  The Lord Mayor of York, Councillor Janet Looker, opened the event.  56 children from all over Yorkshire took part, grouped into two sections with a mixture of chess coaching and a Swiss competition.  Competition results were as follows.

 

Section A: Novices
