Chess Kids On line

Junior organisers may be interested in an on-line initiative from Chess in Schools & Communities and “ChessKid” recently advertised on the ECF website, where it says,

Chess in Schools has teamed up with ChessKid in a campaign to get one million children playing chess in the UK during the lockdown.

They are offering 1 million free 3-month Gold Memberships of ChessKid’s online platform valid until 20th July 2020.  Every child of primary school age in the UK is eligible.  Teachers, Headteachers from any UK school, parents, chess coaches and chess clubs may apply.

ChessKid is a website and app that gives children access to interactive lessons, instructional videos, thousands of puzzles, and a safe environment in which to play chess online.

Links for schools and parents to sign up can be found on the ECF website at https://www.englishchess.org.uk/chess-in-schools-launch-exciting-campaign/.
