4NCL On-Line League Round 9
Round 9
of the 4NCL on-line league has now been completed. Play starts at 7.30
p.m. on Tuesdays, with one round per week. There remains one round left
to play, with Chessable White Rose 1 due to play ChessPlus Alpha in the final
round.
Results
of Yorkshire teams in round 9, played on Tuesday 02/06/2020, were as
follows. First-named team in a match had White on board 1, with colours
alternating down the boards.
Chessable
White Rose 1 saw the debut of Harrogate-born, Sheffield-resident Gawain
Jones. Most Lichess log-in names seem to be of the anonymous gimmick
type. Thus Gawain Jones is “VerdeNotte”, while James Adair is
“Dark_Paradise”. The two Yorkshire-connected teams in Division 4 played
each other.

Romans have still won all their matches, having now won 9 matches out
of 9 and are the only team in any division still on 100%.
