27/10/2019 Scarborough Congress 2019 was held once again in the Spa Centre, from 25th to 27th October.
This year’s Scarborough Congress had 319 participants, if we exclude those who entered with a half-point bye in round 1 and then did not turn up, and if we exclude the odd person seemingly acting as a “filler”. This is about 12 more than last year. The other big northern congress, Blackpool, this year pulled in about 362 competitors.
The total prize fund this year was £6,000.
