British Championships Cancelled/Postponed
As
expected, it has been announced that arrangements for the British
Championships due to take place Torquay in July are being cancelled.
The same goes for the English Women’s Championships in Hull in August.
The text of the announcements is as follows:
|
It
is with great reluctance that the ECF is forced to announce that the
British Chess Championships will not be held at Torquay this July.
This is in response to the Covid-19 outbreak. Whether the
Championships are cancelled, or are held later in the year, will depend on
how the outbreak progresses in the next few months. All entry fees
will be refunded.
