An afternoon of outdoor chess with GM Simon Williams. 16.00-19.00. Furley and Co, Hull (adjacent to Princes Quay (multi-storey car park). Royal Hull Hotel. A field of three (non-English) GM’s take on 7 English IM’s in an event which coincides with a 4NCL/HDCA congress (the last 4 GM Norm rounds played in the same room as the congress). Average player grade 240+ ECF. Opportunities to spectate.

Hull 4NCL Congress

November 1^st – 3^rd

Royal Hotel, Hull. 3 sections (Open and Major FIDE rated), £3,000 prize money. Social events (pub walk and ‘meet the masters’ reception). 20 free junior places; three days of (free) junior coaching with Charlie Storey including looking at the GM norm games live.
