All sections of the English County Championships were held on Saturday 07/072018, once again at Warwick Trident College, Trident Park, Poseidon Way, Warwick CV34 6SW. Yorkshire was represented in four of the seven sections.

The Open team once again drew on games points but lost on board count. The under-180 team managed to beat Warwickshire on its own territory, team members receiving a pre-engraved small personal trophy to keep, as well as the captain receiving the main trophy. The under-160 team did not manage to repeat last season’s success. The under-140 team also came second, but without disgrace in its debut in the national finals.
