01/07/2024 NCCU Vacancies: Treasurer and Secretary
The recent passing of Cumbria’s George Horne has meant the NCCU is currently looking for a new Treasurer, and the current acting Secretary, Rupert Jones, has expressed a wish to step down.
We would therefore like to invite volunteers for these two roles, and ask counties to think of suitable candidates to be put forward.
Candidates can be elected at the NCCU AGM on July 20th, 2024, or co-opted afterwards.
Treasurer
The NCCU accounts are quite straightforward, and the role requires their management and the treasurer's attendance at one in-person meeting (the AGM) and one online meeting a year.
The Treasurer (together with the Secretary and one other official) are signatories to the NCCU bank account.
Secretary
The Secretary's main task is the organisation of the in-person AGM and the online Council meeting each year.
We are looking for the Minutes Secretary to be a separate role at this stage.
Anyone wishing to volunteer (or nominate someone) for the Treasurer or Secretary roles should contact Bryan Bainbridge at: bryanbainbridge@gmail.com.
Reminder: the 2024 NCCU AGM is booked to be held
on Saturday the 20th of July, at the West Riding, 38 Wellington St, Leeds, LS1 2DE starting at 12:30 p. m.
