Scarborough Rapidplay 2025

 

The second Scarborough one-day rapid chess event was held on Saturday the 14 June 2025 and attracted 36 entries.

 

Prize List

 

Open: 1 Zac Cansdale (Durham University) winning £100, 2 Paul Townsend (York) 4 winning £50.

Under 1700: 1 William Kaldor (York University) 5 winning £100, Vidhyuth Kavi Sudagar (Ilkley Chess Centre) 4 winning £50.

The best performance by a Scarborough player was by Colin Weller who came third in the under 1700 section with 3½ points.
