6 St. Leonard’s Place was the address of Alfred Ball, secretary to Skipworth’s Yorkshire Chess Association’s for its events in York, at the De Grey Rooms at toward the north end of St.Leonard’sPlace. The gently curving terrace of which it is apart is now used as local council offices.
