Played on 28/01/1882, at Leeds Chess Club, over 6 boards.
The Doncaster team was, of course, no match for a full-strength Leeds, and in this match the Leeds players were drawn from the “C and E divisions” of Leeds Chess Club, which presumably meant the somewhat weaker of the Leeds club’s players.
