Hi everyone
I am hereby giving
notice of the 2025 Annual General Meeting of the Sheffield & District
Chess Association. The meeting will take place at 7.30 pm on Tuesday,
2nd September 2025, at the Trades and Labour Club, 200 Duke Street,
Sheffield S2 5QQ
If you are no
longer a club secretary or team captain, then can you please pass this
email on to the relevant person at your club? In the next week or so,
I will be sending out the forms requesting club information for the 2025/26
season. It would be good if I knew that they were going to the
correct club contact.
I have attached the
minutes from the 2024 AGM along with the agenda for this year's
meeting. I do not intend to print out hard copies of these documents
for the meeting so please bring your own copies. I suspect that the
chair of the meeting will allow you to access the documents via your
electronic devices should you choose not to bring a hard copy. Note
that the agenda includes the six rule change proposals received by the
cut-off date.
I would like to
remind any clubs, or individuals, that are holding trophies to make sure
that these are returned to me no later than at the AGM. These will be
presented to the 2024/25 winners at the Fixture Meeting which will take
place at the same venue on Tuesday, 16th September 2025.
If there are any
changes to the agenda then I will try to communicate them to you prior to
the meeting.
