First of all, apologies if you receive this email more than once - I've sent it to club secretaries and to team captains. I've tried to weed out the duplicates but may have missed one or two. Can you all make sure that the email is seen by the correct person at your club.

Secondly, apologies for this being a little later this year than it normally is. You'll find attached the entry form for the S&DCA Summer League. It would be helpful if we could have all of the entries in by next weekend, say Saturday 19th April (the rules say 15th April so there's a little bit of leeway there). Matches are due to start in May.

* The previous organisers of the February weekend Doncaster Congress, led by Jim Burnett and Peter Ackley, are stepping down from organising the event, but there are plans, maybe not yet definite and finalised, for the Sheffield Chess Centre to take over running the event. The projected Doncaster Rapidplay is a separate initiative to be run by Sheffield Chess Centre based on SCC connections with Doncaster.
