After missing a year due to Covid, the Doncaster Congress was held once more at the usual venue, Hall Cross School, Doncaster, from Friday 25th to Sunday 27th February.

Although the event finished only the day before the deadline for submission of results for the end-February rating run, the organisers were able to submit the results in time for Matthew Carr of the ECF rating team to dive in to create the few necessary new rating codes for “new” players, and the results were accordingly included in the February rating run.
