Yorkshire League 10th December - Clash with World Cup

Yorkshire League controller Andrew Zigmond has sent out the following message:

To all Yorkshire League captains and secretaries

Firstly it is very hard to keep a definitive and up to date mailing list of club contacts so please make sure all of your club officers and other people who need to know have received this.

Following England's victory over Senegal tonight they now face France in the quarter finals this coming Saturday with kick off at 19:00. While it does not directly clash with the Yorkshire League it doesn't give much turnaround time for visiting players (and indeed home players) who want to watch the match to get home in time. Therefore I am very happy if teams wish to bring start times forward or alternatively play a shorter time control (perhaps 80+10 rather than 110+10) - please feel free to make arrangements amongst yourselves.
