SS&DCA and Child Protection S&DCA is not affiliated to the English Chess Federation. However, we understand that the ECF will allow any organisation to adopt its Child Protection Policy, and we have decided to do so. [though since this decision was made, the ECF no longer publishes a written Policy; see here for ECF approach to safeguarding]. Phill Beckett is an officer of S&DCA and also a past Safeguarding Officer for the ECF. Our Executive Meeting on 12th Dec 2016 invited Phill to be our Child Protection Officer for the time being.
