This was contested as a 16-player knock-out competition.
J E Hinchliff of Huddersfield met W J Berryman of Barnsley in the final.
In previous successive rounds, J E Hinchliff had beaten R. Robinson [Dr. Robinson of Huddersfield?], H. Hinchliffe (Huddersfield), M Jackson (Hull), C R Gurnhill (Sheffield), while W J Berryman had beaten J A Liversedge (Huddersfield), J Foulds (Bradford), J B Oates (Leeds) and H A Burton (Pontefract).
In the final, the first two games were drawn, then J E Hinchliff won the third, and with it the Yorkshire Championship for 1920-21.
