(From back of American Chess Magazine, Vol. II, No. 1, July 1898) Ex-Bradfordian Hartwig Cassell was instrumental in getting Oswald Ottendorfer to present the Staats-Zeitung Chess Trophy for competition between the chess clubs of New York state.  Herr Cassell was clearly still in touch with Antonio Fattorini back in Bradford, as the Bradford branch of the Fattorini business supplied the trophy, as indicated at the foot of the above illustration (though whether the company name is correct is unclear).
