Edward Watkinson was the older brother of John Watkinson (q.v.).

Edward married Sarah Ann (nee ?), and the couple had at least three children, all Huddersfield-born:

Eleanor Mary Watkinson	born 1862/63,
Thomas Edwards Watkinson	born 1863/64,
Francis Cliffe Watkinson	born 1866/67.

Edward became a bank manager.

“E. Watkinson” attended the WYCA meetings of 1861 and 1869, as well as John Watkinson.  This was presumably John’s older brother Edward
