|
Played at Rawdon, on Saturday, 28/01/1882, over 8 boards, 2 games per board (where possible).
This was a return match between Rawdon Church Institute v Windhill Liberal Club (Shipley). Results as reported by the Chess Player’s Chronicle, 1882, p.69, were as follows:
A number of the Rawdon players are identifiable, but the Windhill players have indistinctive names. “Spencer” of Windhill seems likely to be “T. Spencer” of Bradford, though his identity is none too clear. The following are apparent identities of players.
