This was the return match consequent on an earlier match played in November 1881, when Doncaster won by 17-13.

 

The results as reported in the Leeds Mercury Weekly Supplement of 25/02/1882 gave only aggregate totals at each board; thus 1-1 on board five could have been either a win a-piece, or two draws.  Otherwise the results of all games can be inferred, but the order remains unknown as do colours:
