Played at Rotherham Chess Club’s premises at

Mr. Kenyon’s Café, College Street, Rotherham,

on the evening of Saturday, 11/10/1879,

over 6 board, 2 games per board, time permitting.

 

Only one game was still in progress at the end of the playing session, and it was abandoned as a draw; otherwise no games were drawn.  One was unstarted.  Results as recorded by the Leeds Mercury Weekly Supplement were as follows:
