Walter Grimshaw’s premises were always described as on Church Street.  At first no number was given, so in theory he could have moved from one set of premises on Church Street to another, without it being apparent in censuses and directories.  When a number was given it was number 145.  The modern 145 Church Street, Whitby, is a jet shop on the left side of the entrance to Brewster Lane.
