“Fairfield”, 84 New North Road, Huddersfield, was the residence of John Watkinson of Huddersfield for about the last 60 years of his life.  18 doors down the road, at number 48, lived fellow chess-player Dr. William Scott.  “Fairfield” is now (2012) the premises of Huddersfield Orthodontics. The name and number of “Fairfield” and still visible on the gateposts, but doubtless have been retouched since John Watkinson’s days of occupancy.
