20 Vineyards, Bath, on the west side of Roman Road, was once the residence of the father of the Rev. Edward Pelham Pierpoint, and is probably where the latter was born. It now (2013) has a modern name-board on the left gatepost bearing the name “The Admiral’s House”.  Was it occupied by Admiral Pierrepont before being occupied by William Horne Pierpoint, or has somebody confused the identities of the two?
