At Least 6 On-Line Chess Clubs Set Up in Yorkshire So Far

There are now at least 5 on-line chess “clubs” etc established to serve local associations or clubs.  There are bound to be more.  The 5 currently known about are:

Additionally, there is a “Yorkshire” club on Lichess, which looks rather as though it was set up by Anthony Ibbitson of West Leeds and Pudsey, though that theory may be totally wrong.  This version, at https://lichess.org/team/yorkshire, though not set up by the YCA, looks most like something which could serve as a primarily Yorkshire-wide on-line “club” for those who are interested.

Of course, if nobody signs up to these things, then little chess will be played.

The ECF has offered advice on this sort of thing, which is far from everybody’s cup of tea, at https://www.englishchess.org.uk/ecf-support-for-moving-chess-online/.
