07/10/2017 Junior Team Event, York, Sat. 11th November 2017
The Yorkshire Chess Association is holding a junior team event
on Saturday 11th November, in Central Library, at Ackworth School, Pontefract Rd, Ackworth, Pontefract WF7 7LT from 13.00 pm to 18.00 pm. Schedule:
Entry fee £5 per team.
Teams will be of six players, although all clubs are welcome to turn up with reserves and these will be accommodated either by bolstering short teams or by forming ad hoc teams. The aim of the event is to get as many young players involved as possible. The only requirement to play is that they are under 18 on 1st September 2017.
At present the aim is that it starts at 13.30 prompt, with three games of roughly an hour each (thirty minutes per player), and that the day will include a short training session, with juice and biscuits available between rounds.
