After its formation
on 13/11/1900, Dronfield Chess Club engaged in a number of friendly matches
with teams from Sheffield and Chesterfield, mostly at hope. One match
below was between two teams of Dronfield players, (Mr. W S Newton’s
Team and Mr F T Newitt’s Team). The following were all reported
in the Derbyshire Courier.
