Steve Rigby BEM

 

Further to an earlier report on Steve Rigby, founder of 3Cs chess club in Manchester being awarded the British Empire Medal (see here), Alan Burke of 3Cs has kindly supplied photographs of the presentation which took place in a ceremony conducted a few days ago by the King’s representative in Powys, Mrs Tia Catherine Jones, the Lord Lieutenant of Powys, Wales, where Steve now lives.  Steve had earlier attended a garden party at Buckingham Palace in the presence of the Prince and Princess of Wales.  The Presentation took place at The Westwood Park Hotel.
