01/07/2023 Yorkshire Open Rapidplay 2023
Following on from the re-allocation of the British Individual Rapidplay Championship to the 4NCL organisers, the event as run previously by Brent Kitson and associates is being resumed in the form of a Yorkshire Open Rapidplay event to be held
on Sunday 26th of November, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Shine Centre, Harehills Road, Leeds, LS8 5HS (website: https://www.shinecollective.co.uk/)
The new overall congress manager is Tim Wall, while Stephen Burton remains in post as treasurer. Brent Kitson is unable to continue with any major input, though he remains in an advisory capacity.
Steve Forbes used to do the website and check entrants’ grades/ratings, but cannot take on those tasks now, so Brent has procured the services of Nigel Hepworth to provide a new website which is at http://yorc.uk/, though this is at present awaiting construction. Nigel looks like also doing the rating-checking job too.
Provision of an on-line entry facility is planned.
