being possible where the Union stage included 5 or more teams (so not a root for Yorkshire onto the Open!).

As no section has more than 8 entrants, it is evident that no preliminary rounds will be necessary.  Indeed, the Open section precedes directly to the semi-final round.

At least one county had potential problems in finding the necessary captains for this national stage, but with any luck such problems will be surmounted.
