Sad to see one of Yorkshire chess characters has died.
He was well known in all chess circles.
I played him in one game only and was well beaten.
A strong chess player who was famous for his King side attacks. Opened often with d4 and did not lose many games.
Am sure there will be many tributes and he was a fundamental part when Hull Chess Club dominated the Woodhouse Cup.
He liked a drink and was most happy enjoying the social side.
