McMillan
Fund-Raising Events at Holmfirth

as follows on McMillan fund-raising events at Holmfirth Chess Club, with a
Just Giving link for anyone interested in contributing.

At
Holmfirth our Club Secretary, Rob Mitchell, held two Macmillan’s
fund-raising events at the club, with simuls held for both juniors (me) and
adults (Andrew Drabble). This was alongside cake and various savouries,
raising over £200 for the cause via the Stumble Inn, hosting junior and
adult simuls. This will culminate in a Peak District Mighty Hike on 23
July with the Wellhouse Wanderers (Wellhouse Junior and Infant School). Our
home venue at the Stumble Inn is continuing to raise money for the hike via
the landlady Caz.

Rob is a SENCO [Special Educational Needs Coordinator] and
massively valued Junior Manager at Holmfirth,
as well as our club secretary. Macmillan is very close to his
