13/06/2022 Nafferton Primary School Wins NCCU Schools Award
Each year the Northern Counties Chess Union (potentially) makes an award (set, board and clock) to a school in recognition of its promotion of chess. The right to nominate a school rotates round the Northern counties and in 2021-22 it was Yorkshire’s turn. Feelers were put out, and a worthy nominee came to the fore in the guise of Nafferton Primary School.

The “goods” have been received at the school (amidst the turmoil of Ofsted and Covid) and the following is a photograph of the celebrations!
