Local Leagues' Use of the ECF's LMS

As with the YCA's own league, most local league's competitions are now being reported on the ECF's League Management System developed for the ECF by former Sheffield University student Malcolm Peacock.† However, Huddersfield, York and Harrogate seem to have got off to an uncertain start.† The following is a summary of progress in the nine local leagues.

Hull

Hull & DCA's events were fully ECF-graded last season, and the ECF LMS was used for their 2018 summer league.† Hull is now fully up and running on LMS for the new winter season.

Leeds

Leeds Chess Association has had its events ECF-graded for a number of years to dtae, but like all the local leagues in Yorkshire, apart from Hull's, it is new to using LMS.† Leeds is now fully up and running on LMS for the new winter season.

Bradford

Bradford & DCA has had only its top league division ECF-graded in recent years, but has now moved to ECF grading for all its events.† Leeds is now fully up and running on LMS for the new winter season.

Sheffield

Sheffield & DCA is now fully up and running on LMS for the new winter season.

Doncaster

Doncaster & DCA is now fully up and running on LMS for the new winter season.

Calderdale

Calderdale Evening Chess League opted to have only its first division ECF-graded.† It is now up and running on LMS for the first division for the new winter season.

Huddersfield

Huddersfield & DCA teams, fixtures and player-lists have been set up, but only one match result has been entered so far, though more matches are scheduled to have been played by now.

York

York Evening Chess League teams, fixtures and player-lists have been set up, but no match results have been entered yet, despite 13 matches having been played (or at least scheduled) in late September and October to date.

Harrogate

No events, teams, fixtures or player lists have yet been set up, though that league tends to start relatively late, in the latter half of October, so it may well not yet have started.
