English County Championship Semi-Finals

Four Yorkshire teams will be making their way to locations in the Midlands, to contest semi-final matches in their respective sections of the English County Championships being held on Saturday 09/06/2018.  The date clashes with that of the NCCU AGM, which was struggling to find a workable date.

The Open team, captained by Peter Ackley, meets Middlesex at Birstall Village Hall, Birstall Road, Birstall, Leicestershire, LE4 4DH.  The venue is situated at a corner of School Lane and Birstall Road.  Match starts at 1.00 p.m.

The Under-180 team, captained by Jeremy Hamm, meets Essex, at Syston & District Social Club, 36 High Street, Syston, Leicester, LE7 1GP, which is 5 or 6 miles from the Open match’s venue.  Match starts 11.45 a.m., apparently (Essex CA website).  Match starts at 12.00 noon.

The Under-160 team, captained by Rupert Jones, meets Middlesex at the same venue as the Open team’s match, making a Yorkshire v Middlesex “double match”.  Match starts at 1.00 p.m.

The Under-140 team, captained by David Mills, meets Worcestershire at Underwood Community Centre, Church Lane, Underwood, Notts., NG16 5SF.  Match starts at 1.00 p.m.
