4NCL Rounds 5 & 6, Second Leg
Rounds 5 & 6 in
divisions 1, 2 and 3E were played on the weekend 11th & 12th of February 2023
at a seemingly new venue, Delta Hotels Warwick.
Yorkshire-based teams
in action were Chessable White Rose 1 and 2 in division 1, and Hull
& East Riding Tigers in division 3E, with results as given below.
At the halfway stage
Chessable White Rose
1 is in 2nd place behind Wood Green, on equal match points but trailing by
half a game point. That’s called “close”.
Chessable White Rose
2 is in next-to-bottom place ahead of Cambridge University 1 (!) on zero game
points but 3˝ game points ahead of CU.
Chessable White Rose
3 is in 2nd place behind Warwickshire Select 1, one of 4 teams which are 2
match points Warkwickshire and leading those 4 on game points.
Hull & East
Riding Tigers 2nd-3rd equal with Cambridge University 2, trailing behind
Anglian Avenger 1 by 2 match points.
