Round 6 was played on 02/11/2021. Yorkshire-based teams won
8 matches, drew 2 and lost 4.

James Adair adopted the plan of creating an outside past pawn
and pushing it to victory.
Oskar Hackner sacrificed the exchange as early as move 15 to
open up White’s king’s position, but was unable to find a win.
Tim Chesters’ game was a protracted time scramble, with both players
hovering around 30 seconds left, with the 15 second increment keeping heads
above water.
Douglas Vleeshhouwer’s game was materially imbalanced, and was
agreed drawn in the middlegame, suggesting neither player was clear how to
play such a position.
Geoff Brown, with an advantageous position but hard work yet to
do, benefitted from the elementary blundering away of a piece, followed
rapidly by a positional blunder.
Phill Beckett narrowly avoided a win.
