17/09/2021 Rotherham Online Summer Cup by Peter Catt
Sheffield University's Kacper Mytnik won the Summer Cup competition, organised by the award-winning Rotherham Online website, with a perfect score of 6/6.
Thirty-six players took part in the competition which was played at the rate of 30 minutes per game, plus an increment of 20 seconds per move.
In second place was Grantham's Paul Cumbers with 5/6, and Tom Wills from the Sheffield-based SASCA club was half a point behind in third.
No fewer than seven players from Sheffield, Doncaster and Barnsley shared fourth spot with 4/6.
