On-Line Junior 4NCL Season 4,
Round 1
The latest on-line junior 4NCL team event started on
19/08/2021. The adult version starts on 24/08/2021.
Yorkshire-based on-line junior 4NCL teams still number 7, but
are to some extent different teams from last time. Leeds Juniors have
increased the number of their teams from 3 to 5. On the other hand,
Hull & York (previously known as “York and Friends”) have reduced their
team-count from three to two; this is probably mainly because their players
no longer, apparently, include ones from Hull! (Nevertheless, Douglas
Vleeshhouwer is still recorded as being manager.) The non-Leeds players
in the Hull & York pool come from Harrogate (Mate Ther) and Skipton (Sai
Kumaar). This time round there is no SASCA team from Sheffield.
Teams are distributed across 4 Divisions. Divisions 1 to 3
each contain four 8-team all-play-all Groups (A to D) with Group winners
proceeding to knock-out semi-finals and finals. Division 4 is a 48-team
Swiss.
Teams are of 4 players, and two games are played on each board,
the second with colours reversed.
