04/05/2021 4NCL On Line League Season 3, Semi-Finals
The semi-final rounds of each of the top six Divisions of the current season of the on-line 4NCL (senior) league were played on Tuesday 04/05/2021, the semi-finals of each Division being contested by the winners of the four Swiss groups forming the Division. Five Yorkshire-based teams were involved in these semi-finals, as follows:
In Division 1, Chessable White Rose 1 drew 2-2 on game points, but lost on board count. Meanwhile Chessable White Rose 2 lost 1-3.
In Division 2, Hull & Beverley Romans 1 won, and so progress to the final where they are to meet Catford Cosmonauts 2 who won on board count against Celtic Tigers.
In Division 5, Chessable White Rose 3 turned in the best game score of the five Yorkshire-based teams, winning 3˝-˝ against Forest Hall Juniors from Newcastle-upon-Tyne who are nevertheless to be congratulated on reaching the semi-finals. In the final, they are due to meet Charlton Cobras A, who won their semi-final match 4-0 against the inscrutably named team Broadland Falco Duboisi.
In Division 6, St Andrews White Cross 1, from Hull, lost.
