Farthing Cup Won by South
Yorkshire

Dear All
The results from today's matches were;
North Yorkshire 7-5 West Yorkshire
South Yorkshire 6½-5½ East
Yorkshire
Two very hard fought matches that could have gone either way.
However the final league table is here https://ecflms.org.uk/lms/node/66212/table
and the winners’ spoils go to South Yorkshire who won all three of
their matches.
I've decided to make the Farthing Cup an annual event that
will be played over the board when circumstances permit and earlier today I
purchased a trophy to be presented to the winner every year. Geoff - I'll
contact you when I receive it to discuss getting it to South Yorkshire.
Thank you again for all your support in making my initial idea
a reality. As I said to North players earlier, hopefully it's been
good to do something a bit different and that everyone involved has enjoyed
it.

Two close matches in the final round, played on 10/04/2021,
resulted in a narrow win for South Yorkshire, with 22½ game points to North
Yorkshire’s 21½ game points, both somewhat ahead of East Yorkshire on 16, and
West Yorkshire on 12.
