Farthings Cup, Round 1

The Yorkshire Chess Association has initiated a new competition, the Farthings Cup (4 Farthings instead of 3 Ridings), played on Lichess.  Matches are played over 12 boards, and so have more boards than any earlier YCA league matches, having more than the traditional 10 boards of the Woodhouse Cup of yesteryear!  This may become an annual event, albeit in future over the board.

The first round of the Farthings Cup was played on 06/03/2021, with South and East Farthings winning their respective matches.  Scoring is primarily on game points, and after round 1, East Yorkshire is in the lead, just 1 game point ahead of South Yorkshire.
